Carol V. Hall, Ph.D., CFA

President

Dr. Hall has been a lecturer at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston, MA. for the past two years. Previously, she was a principal at BioVenture Consultants, a consulting firm that specializes in the assessment of emerging bioscience technologies. She is a past board member of the Brookline Arts Center, a nonprofit art school and she served as Program Chair and Director for the 21st Century Fund, a nonprofit organization funding innovations in public education for 3 years. She has been a member of the Program Committee and Building Committee at Gould Academy, a private secondary school in Bethel, Maine.


Frank D. Lee, Ph.D.

Vice President

Dr. Lee has almost thirty years of experience in the life sciences spanning basic research and leadership in the biotechnology industry. Currently Dr. Lee is CEO of Dragonfly Sciences, a company he founded in 2005 with offices in Wellesley, MA and research labs in Shanghai, China. Throughout his career, Dr. Lee has formed strong relationships with the academic, industrial, and investment communities. Dr. Lee currently serves on the Interdisciplinary Biology Advisory Committee and the School of Humanities and Sciences Council at Stanford University, Stanford, CA and he is a member of the Stanford University and Gould Academy, Bethel, Maine, Board of Directors. He has been a past advisor to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, the National Academy of Engineering, and the government of Taiwan.


Hope Schroy, LICSW

Treasurer

Hope Schroy is a social worker who has worked with schools, adolescents, and families for over 20 years. She is currently a family resource advocate in Brookline, MA. Hope is very active in prison reform and volunteers at Massachusetts Correctional Institution - Framingham and Massachusetts Correctional Institution - Concord. She is also a previous board member of Gould Academy. Hope has always been deeply committed to supporting students and their families both academically and emotionally. 


Maura Horodyski, JD

Secretary

Ms. Horodyski is a principal in the law firm, Rodway and Horodyski of Maine. She is active in Maine nonprofit organizations: she serves as Trustee of the Gardner Roberts Memorial Library in Hanover, Maine; President of the Friends of Davis Park in Bethel, Maine; and is a member of the Board of Directors of The New England Film Academy in Portland, Maine.
